A teenage boy recently aced his driving test and approached his Dad about using the family car.
The Dad proposed a deal, saying, “If you can raise your grades from a C to a B average, dedicate some time to studying your Bible, and perhaps consider a trim for your hair, then we can discuss the car.“
The boy pondered the offer, ultimately agreeing to the terms. After about six weeks, the Dad commended his son on the improved grades and Bible study but expressed disappointment about the untrimmed hair.
In response, the boy reasoned, “Dad, I’ve been thinking. In my Bible studies, I’ve found that Samson, John the Baptist, Moses, and even Jesus had long hair. They all made significant journeys on foot, too, you know.“
Without missing a beat, his Dad retorted, “Did you also notice they walked everywhere they went?“
