Test Of Integrity

As the university professor distributed the test papers, he observed his students diving into their exams with varying degrees of confidence. Some seemed focused, while others appeared anxious. Sitting back at his desk, he patiently awaited their completion.

One by one, the students approached him with their finished tests in hand. However, amidst the sea of papers, the professor noticed an unexpected addition to one student’s submission – a crisp $100 bill, accompanied by a note that read: “A dollar per point.”

Intrigued by this unorthodox gesture, the professor carefully graded the exams over the next couple of days. When it came time to return the papers, he made sure to include the appropriate change alongside the student’s test.

Upon receiving his graded exam, the student was surprised to find $64 in change attached to it.

Moral of the story:

No matter how clever one may think they are, resorting to dishonest tactics like cheating will only backfire in the end. In the pursuit of success, integrity and genuine effort are indispensable, for shortcuts often lead to unforeseen consequences.
