As she looked at herself in the mirror, she turned to her husband and asked, “Do you still love me?“
“Of course,” he replied gently.
“But my body isn’t the same as it was when we first met,” she said, a hint of sadness in her voice. She placed her hand on her stomach. “Look, my belly’s bigger now. My legs aren’t smooth anymore.”
With tears welling up in her eyes, she asked, “Why do you still love me like this?“
He reached for her hand, his gaze warm and unwavering. “When I look at you, I don’t just see your body. I see the love in your heart. I feel the kindness of your spirit. To me, you’re as beautiful as ever because my love sees beyond what changes with time.”
He continued, “I fell in love with the warmth of your soul, not just the curves of your figure. So don’t worry about how you look; embrace the way I still feel you. To me, you’re perfect.”
A tear slipped down her cheek, but this time, a smile began to form as his words rekindled the glow in her eyes.
