A young woman boarded a bus and sat quietly. At the next stop, a loud and grumpy older woman entered and took the seat beside her, crowding the space and bumping her with several bags.
The passenger on the other side of the young woman grew visibly annoyed and asked why she didn’t speak up or say something about the situation. The young woman smiled gently and replied:
“It’s not worth being rude or arguing over something so small. Our journey together is so short—I get off at the next stop.”
Her response is worth remembering:

If we truly understood how brief our time here is, we wouldn’t waste it on anger, petty arguments, or holding onto grudges. We wouldn’t spend our precious moments finding faults, stirring discontent, or refusing to forgive.

No one knows how long this journey will last or when their stop will come.
So let’s cherish the time we have. Let’s treasure our family and friends. Let’s choose kindness, respect, and forgiveness. Let’s live with gratitude and joy, knowing how fleeting this journey truly is.
