A Father’s Advice on Awareness

Listen, my children… Let me tell you something that I want you to carry through.

Don’t hurt someone you love and just say “sorry” after.
“Sorry” doesn’t fix broken things. Words fade, but the hurt? That sticks around like a stain.
Don’t act cold and then wonder why folks aren’t warm to you.
Once you freeze a heart, it’s hard to thaw. People remember how you made them feel, even if you forget.

Don’t stir up trouble and then beg for peace.
Grudges are like weeds—once they take root, they choke out the good stuff. You can’t just yank ’em out and pretend nothing happened.
Don’t break someone’s spirit and think a pat on the back will fix it.
Some cracks don’t heal. A wounded soul carries that weight forever.

Don’t betray trust and then ask for it back.
Trust’s like a bowl—shatter it, and no matter how you glue it, it’ll never hold soup again.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking regret erases mistakes.
“I messed up” isn’t a magic spell. Some doors close for good.

Now, if this sounds tough, hear me:
I’m not scolding you. I’m trying to save you from learning the hard way. By the time you’re saying “I wish I hadn’t,” it’s sometimes already too late.
Think before you act. Care before you break.
The world’s got a long memory for how you treat people.

Be careful with hearts—including your own.
It’s easier to build something right than to fix it after it’s broken.

Love, Dad. ❤️
